Bonjour (for the last time)!

Bonjour (for the last time)!

Honestly this past week was a blur. It was a lot of goodbyes, packing, and contacting. Probably the coolest part of the week was when the last door I ever knocked on became the only person to ever let me in during two years. It was Friday afternoon, we were busting out the last door to door stuff of my mission, and the last door we knocked on let us in. Her name is Irene. She was really interested in our message and what we do as missionaries. It's unfortunate that I will never be able to teach her again, but what a blessing it was to have the last door be the first success. Knocking through the nos to get to the yes. Haha.

It was hard saying goodbye to he members in Colmar. They held a giant Italian meal for me on the last day in Colmar. That branch was probably the closest I have been to any other unit before. It was a family.

Well today was spent in Strasbourg with the district doing a Segway tour of the city followed by a planetarium and observatory visit, and finished off with a fancy french meal. The best pday of my mission. Haha. It was super fun.

Well I guess this it. Two years are gone and I've grown a whole ton. I will be forever grateful for the experiences I had and the people I met. God loves us all. He has a plan for us. Trust Him, be patient and things will be alright.

I know Jesus is our Savior. I love Him.

Thank you for your love, support, and letters. I will see y'all soon!

Have a good week. God Bless

Week before my last week

Bonjour!

I'm going to keep this one short because, well I'm home in 10 days, but it was a great week.

On Wednesday one of members needed help at his work so we got to help him out. He works in construction putting up insulation dry wall. He was running behind on some of his homes so he put us to work. We worked on an attic room on the sides where the ceiling hits the floor at a 30 degree angle. We had to squeeze dry wall in those spots, hold it in place, and drill it in. It was tough, but I learned a lot more about dry wall. To thank us the member invited us over to eat twice during the week. We spent some great evenings at their place.

Friday we had exchanges with the St Die Elders. They came into Colmar with their car so we put it to use. We went and knocked on doors in a neighborhood that's too far for us normally called Kaysersberg. It actually just got voted prettiest city in France, so we got to kill two birds with one stone.

On pday we went to a falconry, which was so cool. We got to see falcons, eagles, vultures, hawks, and owls flying around us. It was great. Afterwards we went to a castle called Haut-Koenigsbourg. It's the most known castle in Alsace because it is perched on top of the mountains looking over the region. The Beauty and the beast castle was also loosely based off it as well.

The work in Colmar is going well. It was a lot of finding this week with not much success. The first weeks in August are always the worst in France so we are just trying to endure it well. We got to see Daniel this week again. It's been like 4 weeks so we were worried he would be disinterested but he was engaged well in the lesson.

Have a great week. God Bless

Two Weeks Left

THIS BLOG WAS POSTED LATE - IT WAS SENT ON 8/1/17 BUT POSTED ON 8/6/17

Bonjour! Wow. Two weeks left. This past week flew by. For the first time since arriving in Colmar we actually had quite a few investigator appointments set up. Unfortunately a lot of them fell through but we were still able to meet some cool people.

One of the newer investigator's name is Marie. We met her outside of the train station a few week ago and were finally able to meet with her last week. She has incredible faith for being a 20 year old in France. She seemed pretty stuck in her evangelical ways, but was open to the Book of Mormon so we will see how that goes.

Memid is doing solid like always.

We are really going to try to make the push to get him to church this week. Thierry can't meet with us till September so I won't be able to meet with him again unfortunately, but I still got faith that he will get baptized sometime in the near future. That guy is incredible, just always busy with work.

My Family from Switzerland and Idaho
On Sunday a lot of my family came and visited from Switzerland, and even from Idaho! It was a lot of fun. They came to church, which nearly doubled the size of the branch and then we picnicked afterwards. It was a whole lot of fun. I was able to speak to them in french which was an incredible experience. Last time they heard my french it was my terrible French 4 school french, so it was fun to have the ability to say a little more than bonjour.

Monday was spent in St Die doing district meeting and hiking this mountain that looks over the St Die valley. I've never been a huge fan of hiking but the view was pretty amazing.
Have a good week. God Bless

Five Guys

Bonjour!
Elder Silva and Five Guys

Tuesday was a good solid work day finished off by a Strasbourg District Meeting. We actually were able to meet two new investigators that day who seemed really interested.

Wednesday was nothing too special. We got fed by my favorite family in the branch in the evening but for the rest of the day it was good ole fashion finding.

Thursday we taught Memid and then headed into Paris for Elder Pixtons legality. When missionaries hit their one year mark they head into Paris to renew their visas. The cool part about that is we stayed in the Paris apartment for the night. I got to relive some memories and hang out with Elder Silva again for an entire evening. It will probably be he last time I see him before I leave. We had a really good time catching up on the last year of our missions.

Friday was spent in governmental buildings of France, on trains, and in Five Guys. It was a fantastic.

Saturday we held a finding day for the district in Colmar. It went well even though we didn't find anyone. We went out to a surrounding city named Ribeauvillé which is the city that inspired the setting for the Disney movie Beauty and the Beast. The goal was to knock on every door in the entire city in two hours. We almost achieved the goal but arrived short at only 250 doors. On a side note, the village is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen.

Sunday was solid. I had to teach priesthood and the lesson was on raising children. I don't know why I was in charge of that lesson seeing as how I have never raised a child but it turned out ok nevertheless. You just get the members talking and time passes quick. Haha.

Have a good week. God Bless

Love the Colmar Members!

Gerardmer
Bonjour!

Tuesday we went to St Die for exchanges with the District Leader. St Die is a beautiful a town but it is just tiny and terrible for missionary work. I believe that you can find people anywhere, it's just harder in certain places and St Die is one of those places. Haha. We spent a lot of the day finding but we went up to this city called Gerardmer in the evening and wow that is an incredible city. It's got this giant lake in the town that has mountains (large hills) falling into it. I'll attach some pictures.

Wednesday was my birthday. I'm no longer a teenager. Thursday we had Zone Conference with the new mission president. He came down hard with a lot of new rules and stuff to straighten us out. He is a super personable man though so it was taken well by he majority of the missionaries. I had my last interview as well. I told him things he needs to do and then he told me what I need to do when I go home. It was an interesting moment because afterwards I just kind of felt like it was over. Just one of those moments when it hits you that you are going home soon. Don't get me wrong, I'm still chugging along but it's becoming more and more real everyday.

Friday was the national holiday for France so we had giant BBQ with the branch at the church! We had a lot of success, we even got a new investigator from it.

Saturday was spent in a city called Munster doing door to door stuff. It's a smaller city in our sector but here are still quite a few people that live there so we decided to check it out for a day. No success but we had a ton of fun.

Sunday was a good Sunday. One of the children in the branch got baptized so a lot of the day was spent at that event, and the rest was spent planning.

We got fed 3 times this past week by members! Our connections with them are just growing deeper and deeper. I've never felt this involved with a unity since Brussels. It's just great when it is such a team effort and everyone is involved even if you aren't seeing success.

Have a great week. God Bless

Summer of the Monkeys

Bonjour!

We hit the ground running this week with a mini Zone Conference in Nancy on Tuesday to meet the new mission president, President Sorensen. The conference went well. It's a definite change of pace from President Babin but he will do well here. It's funny to see how much new missionary fire he has. He expressed to us his high expectations centered on member missionary relations and the use of Preach Gospel. It was a lot of idealistic thinking and a little less on the pragmatic side of things, but that's to be expected of any new missionary.

Wednesday and Thursday was spent on nothing but finding efforts. It's definitely the grind but I love it. Elder Pixton and I were able to celebrate the fourth together with hot dogs, Doritos, and Coke. It was a great evening. Friday we got to head up to Strasbourg for District Meeting, and a doctors appointment for my companion. Elder Pixton has had this ingrown toenail for 9 months now and I finally got him to set up an appointment with a doctor. Turns out the doctor is actually the foot doctor for the Strasbourg soccer team. Apparently they get their feet checked every two weeks by him. Anyways, he was able to successfully complete his procedure and Pixton is now pain free.

We spent the night in Strasbourg because we had to travel the next day to Nancy for a Zone finding day. The finding day was pretty successful. I got to see my MTC teacher! It was fun reliving memories from almost 2 years ago and what made it even better was the fact my MTC companion, Elder Nagloo, was there as well.

Sunday was a normal Sunday but Pday was incredible. We went to this place called Monkey Mountain. On this mountain there are 150 free roaming Barbary Macaques that you feed with popcorn that they give you at the entrance. It was phenomenal. I've never been so close to monkeys.
Have a great week! God Bless

Water Leak

Bonjour!

Another week has come and gone. Tuesday through Thursday was nothing but contacting and door to door stuff. We actually had one appointment with Memid. I don't know if I've already explained who he is but if not he is an immigrant of 50 years of what use to be Yugoslavia. We have seen him already 5 times since we arrived in Colmar. He believes strongly in the apostasy and during this last lesson he accepted the Book of Mormon to be true as well as Joseph Smith being a prophet. That was pretty cool. I'm a little worried to see how he will fit into the branch. He has some rough edges and I hope no one judges him too harshly off the bat. He is a really nice dude. The finding efforts were ok.

The closer we get to summer vacation for the frenchies the rougher it is. Colmar citizens leave Colmar on vacation and tourist come to replace them. It's tough. This upcoming week is the last week of school and then it will be just crazy. We are trying to take advantage of the last normal week.

To preface this next story we have had a leak coming from the tank of our toilet for the past two weeks. It started off relatively slow but recently it had been pumping out a liter every hour. We have been doing our best to catch it all with bowls and towels but because we are gone so frequently it's been getting pretty bad. Haha. We called the senior couples to help us fix it and they were in the process of getting us a plumber. Thursday night though we get a knock on the door at 10:40 from a disheveled neighbor who has water dripping into his garage on the first floor. We live on the fourth. We quickly put two and two together and he told us to shut our water off immediately until we can get a plumber. That evening, in preparation for the worst we filled up anything that could hold water and through it in the fridge. Haha.

Friday was a hectic day in the apartment. We had to get a hold of plumbers, neighbors, and office couples to fix the mess all while finding creative ways to relieve ourselves. It was fun. By the end of the day we were able to get it fixed and we headed off to Strasbourg for District Meeting and a crepe party.

Saturday and Sunday were just your average missionary days. We were able to have an appointment with a Sudanese investigator, Daniel, on Sunday that went relatively well. We are worried the communication barrier is causing a bigger problem than we think, seeing as how his main language is Arabic.

My companion worked at Jamba Juice for a year and a half before the mission so he has been whipping up some milkshakes and smoothies all week. It's been incredible.
Have a great week. God Bless

It is hot!

Bonjour!
The Voges

This past week was incredibly hot. The french people use this word called the "canicule" to describe when an immense heat wave hits and that happened this past week. This is just bad news for a missionary because when it is hot everyone stays inside. Contacting was really hard this week. We often times returned home sweaty and empty handed. Looking on the bright side though this heat should be a good prep for returning to a Texas summer.

Other highlights of the week were when we met some tourists from Plano! That was really strange. If you ever went to the Chase bank next to Plano West you probably met the mother. She had worked there for over 25 years.

For my Swiss family, I had Rivella this week for the first time in a while! There has been a huge advertising campaign for it in Alsace so I had to go get some! It was as good as I remember it and it brought me back to the fun family reunions we had in Switzerland.

Tuesday we went into Strasbourg for a zone finding day and activity. It went really well despite the fact that the public transport shut down for the day on strike. I also got to run into Sister Walters (my cousin) again! We got to chat for a little bit more than at Zone Conference and it was great to catch up on things. Saturday we spent the day in St Die with the district doing some finding. It was a day full of door to door but we saw a ton of success in areas we usually don't. Also, St Die is in a region called the Voges which is incredibly beautiful. It just a bunch of cities on the sides of mountains. It reminded me a lot of Switzerland so needless to say I had a great time!

Have a great week. God Bless

12 Pounds of Cake

Bonjour!

Another week down and what a week it was. Tuesday we had Zone Conference in Nancy. That was incredibly fun. It was our last zone conference with President Babin so everyone in the zone decided to chip in some money to buy him a 6 kilo (12 pounds) kouglehopf cake (I don't think I spelled that right). The kouglehopf is a regional specialty and is basically like a really dry bundt cake covered in powdered sugar. Anyways this thing was huge, and he was very appreciative. I also got to see Chelsea (my cousin) at the conference. She is doing well and her french really impressed me.

Wednesday the St Die Elders came in to Colmar for an exchange. I have never laughed harder on an exchange. It was so much fun. They brought their car in, so we took advantage of it and did some tracting and less active hunting in areas that were unreachable before. We somehow stumbled into Eguisheim, a small village that was voted prettiest village in France by the french people a few years back. It was incredible. Right up next to the mountains, surrounded by vineyards, with castles scattering the skyline.

Friday was one of the highlights of the week. We had a first appointment with some guy named Nathan we met earlier in the month. He is a 30 year old french man who works in the town hall who attended the baptism of his aunt and was interested in learning more. So he fixed the appointment for this Japanese restaurant. We were a little worried about teaching in a restaurant just because it's not the easiest place to whip out your scriptures, or pamphlets but it actually turned out to be stellar. He really enjoyed the visit and wants to have his own personal relationship with God. It's something he has been searching for all his life. Later in the day we met with Thierry, the golden boy. He told us that he had finished the Book of Mormon and has been doing a ton of research about us online. He keeps in contact with temple square missionaries and they also help answer his questions. We taught the restoration, which he already knew, and answered his questions. He wants to get baptized but wants to take it slow. He did tell us that he knew coffee was going to be a problem. He loves that stuff. Fast forward to last night though when he texted us saying that God has been changing his life and he has severely reduced his coffee intake. Apparently he is disgusted by the flavor now. God is good.

Elder Pixton and I have been getting along well. The work is great and we are happy. Have a great week! God Bless!

Statue of Liberty

Bonjour!

We started off last week by going to the Statue of Liberty...but in Colmar. Yeah, apparently the guy who made the original is from Colmar so they have a smaller one in the middle of a roundabout. It's pretty cool. Ill attach some photos.

Wednesday we went out to Strasbourg for District Meeting and lunch. It was a good time. We spent some time later in the day baking cookies for members. I impressed myself with how they tasted. The branch invites everyone to do a small task every week to prepare for the sacrament meeting subjects. This week's task was service, hence why we made the cookies, but it turned out to be a good occasion to meet with some less actives.

Thursday through Saturday was pretty much straight finding. Walking the streets and knocking doors is the life. Which brings me to one of the craziest miracles of my mission. So flash back to one of our first days in Colmar, we were just out contacting when all of a sudden a man, named Thierry, stopped us asking for a Book of Mormon. Forcibly we gave him one but he was in a hurry so when he rambled his number off to us we didn't get it down properly. That evening we tried all sorts of combinations of the same number in attempt to get a hold of him but none of them worked. This past week we fasted and prayed to have new investigators to get the work moving here. Saturday morning we get a text from the church headquarters giving us a referral of a man named Thierry. He wants a missionary visit and Book of Mormon in Portuguese for his friend. The number he gave was pretty close to the numbers we tried to call two weeks ago so we knew that this was the guy. We were excited to say the least. We met up with him in the afternoon giving him the Book of Mormon and a brief explanation of it and the restoration. That evening we texted him to confirm numbers and he proceeded to tell us that he has already read half the book, he can't stop, and the something is telling him it is the truth. Since then we have had a few more conversations over text and he is extremely excited to learn about us. Now I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch but this is looking pretty good.

God is good, that's all I can say. Well I hope everyone else had a good week. I know I shouldn't be counting down but 9 weeks left... crazy.

Can't wait to see y'all again. God Bless!

A Gondola Full of Missionaries

Bonjour!

Colmar Boat Ride
Last pday we had the opportunity to go to Strasbourg to be with the District. It was incredibly fun. We went to this buffet at night called Flam's which serves all you can eat flammenkuchen, an Alsatian specialty. Basically it's like pizza with a really thin crunchy crust and instead of red sauce they use white sauce. The toppings range from a variety of things but are usually cheese, ham, and/or vegetables. It was delicious and incredibly filling.

Tuesday through Friday was a lot of proselyting.  It was good, we learned during the week that the amount of tourists in the city goes down enough to where we can do effective contacting. We actually had 9 appointments set up but only 2 of them went through. Haha.

Those two appointments were pretty cool though. One was with a Malagasy man named Olivier and the other was with someone named Ali. They both now have Book of Mormons and will hopefully read them.

The direction asking from tourists still hasn't stopped. Speaking of which we had some old German women come up to us asking us where the post office was. I pulled out a map and realized it was really far away but because that was too hard for me to explain in German I could only tell them to take their next right. Haha. I hope they found it eventually.

Saturday we had the district come in to Colmar to do some finding for us. It rained all day but we still had some pretty good success. I got to go contacting with my MTC companion Elder Nagloo for the first time. That was really fun. Additionally, for one of our breaks throughout the day we took a gondola ride down the "petit Venice". I will attach some pictures but I'm sure 8 missionaries on a gondola would have been a sight to see for some tourists. Haha. It was overall a terrific week.

God has been blessing us with people to teach and I am happy. Have a good week! God Bless

Colmar!!!

Colmar
Bonjour!

This past week was terrific.

Tuesday we took our pday and said our final goodbyes to the members in Lille.

Wednesday I said goodbye to Elder Mansfield (which was really weird after having been together for 3 transfers) and met Elder Pixton at the train station. The worst part about whitewashing into an area is Transfer day. Usually when you get transferred you have a new companion that can help you with your bags. Unfortunately when you are whitewashing your companion also has his bags, leaving you on your own with all your bags to haul around the crowded, sweaty metros and trains of Paris. It's terrible. Anyways... we made it to Colmar after what seemed like a never ending train ride and it's been terrific ever since.

Colmar
This city is incredible. Easily one of the most beautiful cities I have ever been to in my life. I'll attach some pictures but I am literally blown away everyday. The unfortunate thing about this is that the city is full tourists. This makes it literally impossible to do contacting in the downtown areas because everyone is either a Chinese tourist or from Germany. It doesn't help that we are wearing our white tshirts and ties because everyone thinks we are tour guides. It's ridiculous. We've had countless people come up to us and just start asking us for directions in German. It's helped me to get to know the city well but is really annoying when contacting. Anyways, we have started to do a lot more door to door stuff because it seems to be the only effective way to find for now. It's really too bad because I love contacting, so to end a mission doing door to door stuff wasn't exactly what I had in mind but I'll go hard nonetheless.

The members here are incredible. We had 57 people at church today and apparently it's because everyone heard missionaries were back in Colmar. The members are so excited. We are hailed as gods. They picked us up from the train station, gave us groceries, invited us to a BBQ last Saturday, made a branch mission plan, started having branch council again, and invited us over for lots of dinner appointments in the coming weeks. It's crazy to see how not having missionaries for such a long time can really effect the way you see things. The member base is really made up of one family that accounts for 30 members in the branch. They are all extremely nice.

I'm excited, Pixton is excited, the members are excited, and we are working hard. It's a recipe for success. We have already been blessed with new and old investigators and things can only go up. It's great.

Have a great week. God Bless

On to Colmar

Lille

Bonjour! Sorry this email is coming out on Tuesday. We had a conference with THE Elder Neil L Andersen yesterday, so we took pday today.

Last Tuesday we did more service for that lady. This time we had the task of catching guinea pigs, and cleaning rain gutters. The guinea pigs were incredibly speedy. We were chasing them through this huge backyard full of stinging nettle. It was incredibly difficult and painful but we finally got them after about an hour.

Thursday, Friday, and Saturday we had finding days in Lille, Arras, and St Omer. They were all a lot more successful than previously anticipated so that was super cool. Saturday evening we were able to watch the transmission of the Cultural Celebration for the temple. It was pretty cool. The best part was at the beginning when they had a companionship of missionaries on bikes taking on fake Tour de France competitors. It was pretty funny.

Sunday we watched all three sessions of the consecration of the temple. It was super cool. The third session was easily the best. Lots of great stuff in the consecration prayer. I encourage y'all to read it when it gets published.

Monday we went to Paris to have a conference with Elder Neil L Andersen and all the missionaries. We got to shake his hand and listen to him for two hours. It was pretty cool. He talked a lot about what we need to focus on as missionaries now with a temple in France. Ill be trying to implement those things for my last two transfers.

The District
Oh and other big news is I am getting transferred to a city called Colmar in the east of France. The cool thing is I get to reopen the city. Almost a year ago the missionaries were pulled out because the branch really struggled. So apparently they are ready to receive missionaries again and Elder Pixton and I have the privilege to be the first. It's going to be tough but it will be the best way to finish off my mission. I can not wait to go hard everyday trying to get the work going again in Colmar.

This brings my tally up to 8 cities, 8 companions, 5 senior couples, 5
whitewash ins, and 4 whitewash outs. I have also hit 6 of the 7 zones,
the 3 biggest cities in the mission, and 2 of the smallest. It's safe
to say I have a had a pretty nuts mission.

Have a great week. God Bless

Food Coma

Bonjour!

Tuesday we went out to the city Argentiers to help a member with her garden. It is the same one that we stacked wood for last week. This week she had us cleaning out a garage area and then setting up a play set. It went pretty well. That evening we had a dinner appointment with some Congolese members. It is sad that a majority of you reading this will not have the opportunity to ever attend one of these because they are something else. They make a ton of food and tell you to eat it all. They just keep serving you and there is no stopping them. Incredible. Additionally there are no forks or knives. According to frere Kabongo you should only ever be using your "fourchette naturelle" (natural fork) or in other words, your hands. We had foo foo (I have no idea how to spell that), vegetables, potatoes, chicken, and bean stew. The only way to survive an african dinner appointment is to not think, frere Kabongo says "il faut pas le calculs, il faut manger" (it isn't necessary to calculate, its necessary to eat).

Wednesday I was still trying get over the food coma I was in because we had exchanges with the Calais elders followed by Valenciennes on Thursday. Both exchanges went pretty well.

Friday we were in Dunkirk for a finding day. I was able to find a french family (which out here is a miracle) that was interested while going door to door with Elder Wagner.

Saturday we were in Valenciennes for another finding day. The best part of the day was when they took us to an American candy store for one of the breaks throughout the day. It was incredibly good.

Sunday we had church and then I skyped home. For those of you not in contact with my family, they are doing great and you have to check out James's hair. It is some of the best flow I have ever seen. Haha.

The work is still focused on finding. I will let you know when we have some solid people.

Have a great week. God bless

Stacked Wood

Bonjour.

I'm going to apologize in advance for this email. I jammed my fingers playing basketball earlier today so I am currently typing a lot slower than usual in an attempt minimize pain. But don't worry. I still won the game. Haha.

We had a pretty busy week in Lille. We had 4 days in our sector so that really helped boost our own work. We had exchanges early on in the week with the Amiens Elders. On Wednesday we helped a member with service in her backyard. Ill attach a picture of the final results but basically they had this area that was just a huge pile of wood. We had to pull all the wood out, cut it into less than 2 feet chunks, and then pile it neatly in the allotted area. I was on cutting duty for most of it, but unfortunately the only tool available was a bow saw. It would have been a lot easier with an ax. It took us quite a while to finish the task but it was well worth it.

Thursday (I was incredibly sore from that bow saw) was a good normal missionary day with finding and lessons. We finished it off with a dinner at the Gouttin family's home. It was absolutely delicious.

Friday and Saturday we were in Amiens and V dasq for finding Days. Amiens had some really good success. They were able to find 14 new investigators and over 30 numbers. Sunday was planning on planning. We did get to meet with a man named Alfa though. He doesn't really seem interested. We will see though. In other news, our baptismal date Maxime doesn't want to see us anymore and our other investigators just don't pick up their phones. Starting from ground zero again:). The Lille sisters were suppose to have a baptism on Saturday but he did not show up.

I'm working hard and having fun though and that's all that matters. Oh I forgot to mention a man named Josue we met on Wednesday. He is super cool and I have lots of hope for him. We are going to see him tomorrow again to explain more about the Book of Mormon. Have a great week! God Bless!

Work, Work, Work

Bonjour! This past week was definitely hectic.

On Tuesday we went to all three district meetings in the zone. This means we were in Dunkirk during the morning, Amiens in the afternoon, followed by the Lille district meeting. It was a lot of trains but it was good to see everyone in the zone.

Wednesday and Thursday we were in Paris for exchanges with the assistants. We had a good time. Friday we were in St Quentin for a finding day and than Saturday we were in Calais for another finding day. They both went well. I kept track of stats pretty intensely this past time and I learned that in those two cites I contacted around 120 people and only got 8 conversations with only 2 appointments set up and another guy gave us his number. Calais and st Quentin are notoriously known for the hardness of people's hearts. Haha. Fortunately I met a lady in Calais who was from Zambia. She was super cool and actually was close to getting baptized in our church in Zambia before she came to France. So hopefully something happens there.

Sunday we had two dinners thanks to members! We went to our ward mission leaders house for spaghetti and then the Tessa's for lasagna. It was really good.

We have been working recently with a guy named Evrard. He is a recent convert in Lille who is already less active, but he has been making some incredible progress. He went to the temple open house on Saturday with the ward and just stopped smoking cold turkey. We will see how long that lasts but it seems like he really wants to change.

We have just been out of our sector so much recently it's hard to see things develop. We should be home for 4 days next week though.

Well thats all I got! Have a great week. God Bless and Go Jazz
